Getting Started

The initial visit for acupuncture is 1.5 hours and involves a very thorough discussion, history taking, and pulse and tongue diagnosis. All follow-up visits are an hour and are spaced according to the patient’s condition and needs. Initial herb visits are one hour. As the patient improves, appointments are less frequent and a maintenance schedule is encouraged. Most patients find acupuncture to be very relaxing. Some people feel positive changes immediately, and most feel improvements within the first 3 to 4 treatments.
